What separates Top Notch Fly Fishing LLC from many other guide services in this region is our knowledge of when the other lesser known local waters are having “hot” fishing. By knowing what is going on locally, we can recommend hitting certain "hot-spots" when conditions are prime. We also offer trips into the back-country to fish small native brook trout streams. This is a great way to get away from it all and see some lovely scenery and catch some of the prettiest fish you will ever see.
Northern New Hampshire and the White Mountains offer a myriad of small-river/stream opportunities. Many of these streams are home to wild, native brook trout. Others, especially the tributaries of the Androscoggin River have robust populations of wild rainbow trout. These waters fish well from the late spring thru the fall, and offer a chance for anglers to travel into remote, scenic territory where wildlife sightings frequently outnumber sightings of fellow anglers. They can also be a terrific summer time option when larger waters have become too warm.
